Well, it may seem like a no brainer, but the first thing you need to do is find the right company for you and your skills. If you want to fit into a company, you need to find out who you want to work for. Just take your time and give considerable thought to the type of company you want to work for, the size of the company, the industry and so on. Once you have made a list of possible companies, start your research.

2. Do Your Research

So now that you have a list of potential companies you are interested in, try to find out everything you can about those companies. You need to know if the company’s culture, vision and goals are right for you. Once you find out everything about them, you will know how and if you fit into their culture and if there is truly something you can offer that company.

3. Demonstrate it With Examples

So, the research part is done – you now know what your ideal company is and the reasons it is ideal. You should also know what the company’s biggest weakness is and how you are going to be the solution to all their problems!

In order to show this, you must create an image of yourself around this information, using good examples of how you managed to resolve similar issues at a previous company and how positive the impact was on your customer or employer. Don’t be afraid to do this with various examples, just make sure that you use several different examples with different job roles in your employment history.

4. Use Visual Images

We mentioned earlier that you need to use good examples to show your impact on previous employers. Another successful way to do this is through the use of visually engaging images. These could be graphs, charts or flow charts to highlight certain skills or successful projects you have undertaken in your previous jobs. If you really want to kick it up a notch you could craft an infographic resume – a 2016 trend!

We all know how powerful images are in communicating and sharing information with others as it is easier to recall an image than content; images usually extract emotions and tend to stick in our memories for a longer period of time.
